Devised July 26, 1732, Proven September 25, 1732. In the Name of God Amen. I Sarah Wiggs of the Isle of Wight County, I now being in a sick & weak Condition but I thank the Almighty God I being at this time in perfect Sense & Memory I do make and Ordain this for to be my last Will & Testimony in manner & form as followeth. Item, I Give unto my three Systers to say Catherine Stevenson and Mary Britt and Elizabeth Brassey all my Wearing Apparell to say both Woollen and Linen and Also my Mothers Cloths to say Woollen and Linen Cloths for to be equally divided I say that is for to have a share and share alike. I also give unto my Syster Elizabeth Brassey my Horse side Saddle and Bridle. Item, I Give unto my loving Brother Luke Wiggs as much Money as shall buy him one Young Negro Woman. Item, I Give unto my Friend Henry Applewhaite to say the Sum of Twenty Shillings Currant Money. Item, I Give unto my loving Brother George Wiggs to say my Negroes to say my Negro Woman Futro[?] and my Negro Girl Nan I say I give my two Negroes to my Brother George Wiggs and to his Heirs for ever. Item, I Give unto my loving Brother George Wiggs all the rest of my Estate be it in what kind so ever. I do Also make & ordain my Brother George Wiggs for to be my whole & sold Executor of this my last Will & Testimony whereunto I have set my Hand and fixed my Seal July the 26 day 1732. The last Will & Testament of Sarah Wiggs deceased was presented in Court by George Wiggs his Executor therein named, who took the Solemn Affirmation (appointed by Law for the People Called Quakers) thereunto and being proved by the Oaths of the Witnesses thereunto, it is admitted to Recordatur.
