VA Mixed Records, etc. Bk. 8, pgs 296-297 FHLC #32025 In the name of God Amen I Francis Wrenn being sick and weak but of perfect sence and memory do constitute and Ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following to wit, Item I give and bequeath unto my well beloved Son Thomas Wrenn the plantation whereon he now liveth containing on hundred and fifty Acres more or less, I do give my Son Thomas one negro woman Slave called Jane and her Child named Tom with all her future Issuance to him and his heirs for ever, also all the Stock of every kind that he has now in possession and some household furniture, Item I give and bequeath unto my well beloved Son Francis Wrenn the plantation I now live on containing one hundred and fifty Acres more or less I also give him two negro Slaves one named Calem and one named ??????? a still that now stands on the said land and Bed and furniture which he now has in possession to him and his heirs forever, Item I give and bequeath unto my well beloved Son Richard Wrenn one tract or parcel of land adjoining the land of my Son Thomas on the Westside and bounding on the land of Henry Mangam being one hundred and fifty Acres more or less, I also give him one Negro man Slave named Abraham one Bed and furniture one Cow & Calf twenty five pounds Cash to him and his heirs forever also one Walnut Desk and one Walnut Table, Item I give and bequeath to my well beloved Son Joseph Wrenn one tract of land adjoining the land of my Son Thomas on the South side and bounding on the land of Francis Ward being over one hundred Acres more or less one negro man Slave named Peter one Negro Girl named Nanny also the Stock and household furniture that he now has in possession my desire is that the still that my Son Thomas has now in possession be for the use of my Son Thomas and my Son Joseph to him and his heirs for ever also one Walnut Table Item I give and bequeath unto my will beloved Daughter Ann Wrenn one negro Boy named Jim one Bed and furniture to her and her heirs for ever, Item I give and bequeath unto my well beloved Daughter Mary Wrenn one negro Girl named Priss, one Bed and furniture to her and her heirs for ever, Lastly my will and desire is that the remaining part of my estate whatever after my Just Debts and legacys I have given my Son Richard in Cash be paid and the Remainder to be equally divided among my Children Thomas, Francis, Richard, Joseph Ann, and Mary Wrenn, I do appoint my Sons Thomas and Richard Wrenn to be my whole and Sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this twenty fourth day of January one thousand seven hundred and seventy five ------- Sealed and Delivered his In presence of --------- } Francis + Wrenn (LS) mark Goodrich Willson Solomon Holms } John Jenings Wheadon At a Court held for Isle of Wight County the 7th day of December 1775. This Will was presented in Court by Thomas Wrenn one of the Executors therein named who made Oath thereto according to law and the same being proved by the Oaths of Soloman Holms and John Jenings Wheadon two of the Witnesses thereto and Ordered to be Recorded and on the motion of the said Executor who together with Richard Hardy and William Gay his securities entered into and acknowledged their bond in the penalty of five hundred pounds with condition as the law Directs Certificate if granted him for obtaining a Probat thereof in due form, and liberty is T?????ed Richard Wrenn the other Executor therein named to qualify as such when he shall think proper within the limits of the law------- Teste Nathl.
