Dear Dr. McIlwaine: We received this morning the attached records from an old Bible of the Geddy family who lived at the White Hall Tavern on the old stage road in James City County about 1-1/4 miles Northwest of Burnt Ordinary, now Toano, as described on highway marker W-27. This Bible is the property of the widow of Thomas Henley Geddy, who is now living in Williamsburg, and who promised recently to lend us these records to be photostated. He was a son of George E. Geddy and Lucy Elizabeth Henley who were married on August 18th, 1843, as shown by one of the entries in this Bible. We will appreciate it is you will let us have one photostatic copy of these records with the return of the originals for which we will call at the Archives Division the latter part of the week, and oblige Yours very truly, Stewart M.
