The graveyard is .75 mile south of the highway. James City County The graveyard is situated on a hill in a cluster of old walnut trees. The graves have sunk far below the ground level. The small tombstones or markers have been destroyed or stolen. There is one of much interest. It was originally the cover for a vault. It is so badly worn and weather beaten that only a portion of the inscription is decipherable. Samuel Pond of James City County, Died October in the year of our Lord 1694 A.D.
