DURFEY and Sarah Jane, his wife of the first part and Walker W. YEST of the second part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part forever in consideration of one Dollar unto them in hand find by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, slave granted, bargained and sold and by these presents Do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Walker W. YEST Trustee as aforesaid his heirs and assigns the following property all of that tract or parcel of land lying situate and being in the County of James City on the road leading from Williamsburg to JamesTown (sic) Known as "Strawberry Field" which was conveyed to said Wilson C. DURFEY by Deed of Robert H. ARMISTEAD Special Commissioner dated July the ninth A.D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty five and admitted to recording the Clerk's office of the County of James City July the Twenty fourth A.D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty five, to which said Deed and the (???illegible) therein referred to, reference is hereby made for the boundaries of said land, which said tract of land contains by estimation three hundred and fifty acres the same more or less, together with all the rights in Law or in Equity, privileges and appurtenances connected thereto; and also the following personal property: one negro woman called Frances and whatever increase she may have and grey mare, four head pf cattle, one spring wagon, one cart, household and kitchen furniture (from father's estate). (These items to pay debt to William YEST and Richard W. HANSFORD merchant trading under him - also debt to John H. BARLOW --- probably trustee) This last part of the deed was almost illegible and the transcription may have errors.
