Edward BOSSE(or Besse)/Basse

To all et- whereas et- Now Know Ye That The Said Sir William Berkely et
do give and grant unto Edward Besse One Hundred Eighty Nine Acres of
Land, running East from the Creeke into the woods along by Philip
Chesley his Mark. Cross Three Hundred Seventy Eight porches
at Felgates North Easterly Eighty Four porches Commonly Known
by the Indian Name Chipeaks neare unto Felgates Land on the
South Side of Chickahominy river The Said Land being deed unto
The Said Edward Bosse by and for the Transportation of four
persons into this colony et--To have and to Hold et-- which  payment
is to be  made Seven years after the first grant or Bonding
Thereof ct- Dated the 7th April 1651
