This entry is on the fourth folio verson and fifth folio recto of 233 BERKELEY To the church of Martimber in Virginia, 2000 lb. of merchantable tobacco with cask, for the repair or building of a new church, provided the church be built on the grounds where the church now stands. To the said church, 1000 of merchantable tobacco and cask to buy a communion cup, his Great Bible and Bishop Andrewe's sermon, both in his house in Virginia. To his father Master John Sadler four cows he has in Virginia. To his executors L5 apiece. To Thomas Cooper, son of Walter Cooper in the Mayne near James Town in Virginia, one cow he has in Virginia. To his servant Joshua Clarke the last six years of his indenture for twenty years. To his servant Thomas Smith, one year of his time. The rest of his goods etc. to his sisters Ann Beckwith, wife of Beckford, Frances Henshaw, wife of Edward Henshaw, gent., Bridget Bickerton, wife of Richard Bickerton, and Dorothy Gibson, wife of Mark Gibson. The goods etc. on board the ship "Seven Sisters" (Captain Abraham Beade Master), bound for Virginia, as well as his goods etc. in Virginia not heretofore given, to his sisters named above and to Judith Thomas, wife of William Thomas, to be equally divided among those living. Appoints as executors his brothers Edward Henshaw, gent. and Edmond Beckford, gent. Signed 24 Sept. 1655. Witness Thomas Henshaw, Joseph Drake, Robert Overindge. Proved at London, 12 June 1656 to Edward Henshaw and Edmond Beckford, joint executors. Index notes "died in Virginia" (P.A.B.)
