King George County, Virginia DATE: About 1813. OWNERS: (blank) DESCRIPTION: It is enclosed with a wire fence, quite a bit of undergrowth, and large trees have grown up. Nearly all the graves have markers. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: These are the inscriptions: In memory of our darling Minnie Blanch Coghill youngest child of Thomas T. Arnold and Mary Randolph Brockenbrough born July 10, 1893 died December 23, 1896 Dr. Thomas Thornston Arnold September 23, 1835 April 25, 1917 Well done thy good and faithful servant. In memory of Mary Randolph Brockenbrough wife of Thomas T. Arnold and mother of Lucy Yeats, Thomas Randolph, Mary Gray, Catherine Brockenbrough Coghill, born July 19, 1893 Aged 47 years Mary Gray Arnold daughter of Mary Randolph Brockenbrough and Thomas Thornton Arnold born August 24, 1876 died July 23, 1921 Faithful in all things. Our little Lucy died May 21, 1872 Aged 14 months and 11 days Remember John A. Arnold Lieutenant in the War of 1812 the father of twenty children of whom the following had offsprings: viz: William, Mary, Isaac, John, Humphries, Martha, Jane, James, Sarah, Buckner, Elizabeth, Gaddess, Jemina, Mary, Frances and Thomas Thornton. Born poor, died rich in the Grace of God as well as in this world’s goods on the 12th of April 1862, in his 86th year In memory of Frances B. Price wife of John Arnold born April 25, 1793 married April 27, 1820 died April 10, 1851 Leaving a husband and six children, three sons and three daughters to lament her loss. In memory of Sarah B. wife of Robert H. Montgomery daughter of John and Frances B. Arnold born February 4, 1821 married December 8, 1840 died February 9, 1851 Leaving a daughter and an infant son, a father, mother, three brothers, three sisters, three half brothers, one half sister and many near relations to lament her death In memory of my beloved husband Robert Hill Montgomery born August 18th 1815 died April 21, 1850 Why should we mourn departed friends, Or shake at death’s alarms, Tis but the voice that Jesus sends To call them to his arms. In memory of Sarah Ann wife of James Arnold died December 22, 1848 in the 41st year of her age In hope of immortal bliss In memory of William Arnold born A.D. 1727 was married to the mother of John Arnold August 12, 1781 died in January 1813 in his 86th year. In memory of Jane Humphries wife of John Arnold born January 1780 married June 10, 1800 died August 7, 1819 Leaving a husband and seven children, four sons and three daughters to lament her loss.
