King George County, Virginia DATE: Unknown. OWNERS: Grymes Family DESCRIPTION: This cemetery is kept nicely and is enclosed in a nice wire fence. All the graves are marked – one stone is broken off. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The following inscriptions are copied from the stones: In memory of George Nicholas Grymes born January 8, 1850 died September 17, 1853 Aged 3 years 8 months and 9 days To the memory of Louise Walke Grymes born December 4, 1851 died February 24, 1852 In memory of William Meade Grymes born May 3 died May 14, 1848 Medore Everard Grymes born November 11, 1846 died August 30, 1848 Veflax Graham Grymes born January 12, 1845 died September 7, 1848 Aged 4 years, 7 months and 26 days I pray to God to bless and make ____ (The rest of the quotation not readable) To the memory of Abram Hooe Grymes born February 20th died August 20, 1855 Aged 6 months In memory of W. Custis Grymes born January 21, 1853 died May 12, 1857 Aged 4 years, 3 months and 21 days In memory of Kitty Lee A colored girl, a good and faithful nurse to most all these little children.
