To our beloved Dr. Abram Barnes Hooe, born December 5, 1805, died November 8,
1867. And I heard a voice from Heaven saying, unto me, write, blessed are the
dead which die in the Load, henceforth saith the scripture, that they may rest
from their labor and their work do follow them.

Large stone broken off:

Has a picture of an angel weeping.
To the memory of Lucy Fitzhugh Hooe, born July 20, at Monchein, the home of her
parents, George Nicholas Grymes, who was E.E. Minor of Gunston in Fairfax,

last words of comfort, never mind, my husband, it is the Lord’s will. He dying
testimony, “I am not afraid to die, I have not a sin to fear.” Her praise no
words of man can tell of her inspirations and her children arise up and call her
blessed, her husband also and he praiseth her many daughter have done virturous
by, but this one excellest them all.

“Favour is deceiptful and beauty is vane, but a woman that feareth the Lord she
shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands and let her own words
praise her in the gate.”
