King George County, Virginia DATE: About 1876. OWNERS: (blank) DESCRIPTION: It is located on what is known as the “Jonesville Farm” in a grass field, and the cemetery is not well kept, so much undergrowth and honeysuckle making it difficult to reach and read the inscriptions. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The inscriptions are as follows: William McDaniel Justice of the Peace born September 9, 1837 died November 1, 1906 Aged 69 years 1 month and 23 days A precious one from us has gone, A voice we loved is still A place vacant in our home Which one can never be filled. (Stone broken from foundation) In Memorian of Mary A. McGinness born January 26, 1823 died December 6, 1897 Aged 74 years, 10 months and 10 days For us in Adams all die even so in Christ shall be made alive. Frederick McGinness born September 27, 1812 died May 27, 1887 (Stone broken off the foundation) George W. McGinniss born June 10, 1852 died March 28, 1886 “So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Psalm XC:12. Richard R. McGinness born February 27, 1856 died July 21, 1876 There is a happy land Far, far away, Where saints in glory stand Bright, bright our days His last word were my dear Redemer bearing me to my glorious home.
