King George County, Virginia DATE: About 1851. OWNERS: (blank) DESCRIPTION: Tayloe’s Cemetery is located on a portion of the estate known as Powhatan. It is enclosed with a nice iron fence and is well kept. All the graves have markers. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Ella Fowle Tayloe born September 10, 1860 died October 21, 1865 There angels do always behold the face of my father which is in heaven, then eyes which your tears flow down and your heart be sorely win. There’s another gem in the Savior crown and there another soul in heaven. Bladen Tasker Tayloe born May 25, 1836 died in service for his country and Captain of the 30th. Virginia Infantry, January 27, 1862 (Quotation buried too deep to be read.) In Memorium Edward Thornton Tayloe born January 31, 1831 died November 26th 1876 and his wife Mary Ogle Tayloe born February 5, 1807 died February 5, 1862 Waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
