Item, I give unto my Nephew NATHANIEL JONES one hundred pounds Cash & half my Cattle, Hogs & Horses. Item, I give unto my sister FRANCES JONES one bed & furniture her choice, also I give her ten pounds Cash at my death & ten pounds Cash for every year she shall live after my death, to be paid by Executor yearly. Item, I set my Melato boy JOHN LUCKUS free at my death. Item, I give unto my nephew CHARLES GRIGSBY JONES the use of all my Land during his life, but at his Death, I give all my Land to his eldest Son then living, to him and his heirs forever. Also I give unto the said CHARLES G. JONES all my other Estate which I have not given away all ready, my desire that my Estate shall not be appraised. I have sold unto my Neighbor JOHN PRICE a slice of my Land at the West end beginning at a marked ___ at the head of his Meadow thence up the Westward bottom to his ditch, thence strait as the ditch go.s to the meanders of the Dam between me and Bennetts Land. Lastly I appoint, the CHARLES G. JONES Executor of this my last Will & Testament. In witness where of I have set my hand & seal this 28th August (note: year was not written). The last Will & Testament of Calvert Jones dec'd (as aforegoing) was then presented into Court by Charles G. Jones Ex therein named who made Oath there to according to Law, and being further prov'd by the Oaths of two of the Witnesses thereto subscribed was Ordered to be Recorded on motion of the s'd Exc. he performing what the Law in such cases require Certificate is granted him for obtaining Probate thereof in due form.
