courthouse on March 30, 2000.  It was copied as close as possible from a 
photo copy of the original will found in will book 1, pages 318A & 318B

In the Name of God Amen.  I CHARLES JONES of the County of 
King George and Parish of Brunswick being at this time 
present writing in perfect Sense and Health as make and 
ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form 
following.  Item I give and bequeath to my Brother CALVERT 
JONES all that tract or parcel of Land lying and being in 
the County of Westmoreland wereon JOHN DEARING now lives. 
As also a Bay Mare Named Jinny together with the aforesaid 
mentioned Land to him the said CALVERT JONES and his Heirs, 
Exc., Adm. Or Assigns.  Item I give and bequeath all the 
Rest of my Estate both Real and Personal to my Brother 
DAVID JONES to his Heirs, Executors, Administrators or 
Assigns.  Lastly I Constitute my Brother DAVID JONES 
Executor of this my Last Will and Testament.  In Witness 
whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this 
25th Jan.y 1771.

At a court held for King George County the 2nd day of May 
1771 (note: could be 1772).  The Last Will and Testament of 
Charles Jones Deceased was presented into Court by David 
Jones Executor thereon mentioned who made Oath thereto 
according to Law, and the Same being Proved by the Oath of 
William Bryan one of the witnesses thereto Subscribed is 
admitted to Record on the motion of the Said Jones he 
performing what the Law in Such Cases require, Certificate 
is granted him for obtaining a Probate thereof in Due form.
