King George Co., VA Will - Jeffery Johnson, 1725



Will of Jeffery Johnson:

           In the name of God, Amen. I Jeffery Johnson of the County of
King George and the colony of Virginia being weak and knowing that all
men is appointed once to die do make,appoint and ordain this my last
Will and Testament in manner and form following. I therefore give and
bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping thru the merits
of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to obtain pardon and forgiveness of
all my sins & offences & my body to the Earth to be buried after a
decent and Christain manner according to the discretion of my executors
hereafter named & as for my worldly goods which it hath pleased
Almightly God to bless me with all I dispose of in manner and form as
followeth:
         Imprimis : I give to my son John Johnson the Plantation whereon
he nows Dwells with one hundred acres of land belonging to the same to
him and his heirs or heir male forever.
         Item: I give to my grandson William Johnson the remaining part
of the tract of land after his father's decease to him and his heirs or
his heir male forever except forty acres at the upper end of the land
which I do give to Francis Wright and Ann, his wife, during their
natural lives if they  remain on same and after their decease to fall to
my grandson William Johnson.
         I do hereby Revoke all
Wills,deeds,Testaments,gifts,rights,titles from by or under me made
hereto,this being my last Will and Testament and my true intended
meaning.
        Witness my hand and seal this 25th day of June 1725.
