On the 11th day of May 1936, a deed was recorded in Lee County, Virginia 
between Hazen F. Ladd, party of the first part, and BRADLEY J. CASTLE and PEARL 
CASTLE his wife, parties of the second part.  Witnesseth:  That in 
consideration of the sum of Ten collars, in hand paid the said Hazen F. Ladd 
does grant unto the said BRADLEY J. CASTLE and PEARL CASTLE with General 
Warranty, all of a certain interest in a Track of Land formally Deeded to 
Bradley J. and Pearl Castle by Bertha E. Ladd et al, Deed dated August 24th 
1931, Recorded in Deed Book No 83 page 567 in Lee County Clerks office of 
Virginia.  At the date of the above mentioned Deed the Parties of the first 
part was a minor heir and he now being 21 years of age he is no conveying his 
entire and undivided interest in the Track of land above mentioned as Sold to 
Bradley J. Castle and Pearl Castle by Bertha E. Ladd and her heirs at Law and 
Hazen F. Ladd is one of her heirs.  The said Hazen F. Ladd covenant that he has 
the right to convey the said land to the grantees; that he has done no act to 
encumber the said land that the grantee shall have quiet possession of the 
land, free from all encumbrances, and that Hazen F. Ladd the said party of the 
first part will execute such further assurance of the said land as may be 
requisite.  Witnessed by Mrs. Bertha E. Ladd, signed Hazen F. Ladd, by A. 
Bullick, County of Greenville, State of South Carolina.  On 28 May 1936 this 
deed was presented and together with the certificate annexed admitted to record 
and indexed by D. C. Sewell, Jr., Clerk of the Court.
