Lyons/Shryock Cemetery
A family cemetery that was on the Lyons farm. It is now on the grounds
of Brambleton Regional Park on Ryan Road. This is an old abandoned
cemetery that has been cleaned up by the Park Authority. Some markers
are missing, some are not in their proper location. Markers that are 
still readable include the following:

There are several graves marked only with fieldstones. One of which may contain the 
remains of Richard Y. (Dick) Moran, civil war veteran of the 43rd Virginia Cavalry 
who saved the day for John Mosby in the fight at Miskel's Farm.

The unmarked grave of William H. Hawes is believed to be next to that of his wife 
Martha Susan.
