WILLOUGHBY NEWTON to WILLIAM JETT and CATHERINE JETT his Wife, now CATHERINE LANE, having since the decease of WILLIAM JETT intermarried with JOHN LANE; And also in a Deed dated 12/13 June 1769; between JOHN LANE and KATHERINE his Wife land devised to KATHERINE by the Last Will and Testament of WILLOUGHBY NEWTON, late of the County of Westmoreland, deceased, in the following words, "I give and devise unto my Daughter, CATHERINE LANE," And in a Lease dated 13 June 1769. to have and to hold during the natural lives of WILLIAM HANCOCK and his two Sons, SIMON and WILLIAM HANCOCK; And in a Deed recorded 13 June 1769. I THOMAS AWBREY for the love good will and affection I have and bear towards my dutiful Son, THOMAS AWBREY, sum to be paid to my Daughter, JAMIMA, if she lives, if not to my Sons FRANCIS and HENRY; And in a Lease dated 12 September 1769. to have and to hold during the natural lives of ROBERT MUIR, PHEBE his Wife and GEORGE CATTO MUIR his Son; And in a Lease dated 13 September 1769. to have and to hold during the natural lives of DANIEL FISHER, ELIZABETH FISHER and PHILIP DDLEY, the Son of SAMUEL DUDLEY. Happy New Year Sam Sparacio ssantient@aol.com ------------------------------- In a Loudoun County Deed book one can find a Deed dated 8 October 1773 from which the following is taken Between THADDEUS McCARTY and ANN his Wife; Whereas RAWLEIGH CHINN late of the County of Lancaster, was seized of a tract of land lying in the County of Prince William [now Fauquier and Loudoun Countys], who devised the remainder to his Son, RAWLEIGH CHINN and died after whose death RAWLEIGH CHINN [the Son] entered and was possessed of and dyed intestate leaving issue two Daughters, CATHARINE and the aforesaid ANN And a Deed found in Culpeper County dated 18 October 1773 which land was given by PHILEMON KAVANAUGH the Elder deceased to THOMAS COVINGTON and JAEL his Wife, Daughter of PHILEMON KAVANAUGH, who left issue two Daughters [to wit] ANN and SARAH, who have since married the said ANN with JOHN FAVER, JUNR. and SARAH with WILLIAM TUTT And in Fairfax County there is a Deed dated 20 October 1773 between BEHETHLEN SEBASTIAN and BENJAMIN SEBASTIAN of the Parish of Saint Stephen in Northumberland County; whereas BENJAMIN SEBASTIAN of Fairfax County, Attorney at Law, Father of Behethlen And in Orange County a Deed dated 28 October 1773 between GEORGE TAYLOR now of the County of Caroline of one part and JONATHAN TAYLOR of Orange County of other part, for the natural love and affection I have and bear unto my Son; [next Deed gives land to his Son, JAMES TAYLOR] And another Deed in Orange County dated 7 July 1773 Whereas WILLIAM TODD late of King & Queen County in his Last Will and Testament dated the 12th of February 1736 gave land in Orange County to hhis Daughters, DOROTHY and BETTY, and to his Grandson, WILLIAM GORDON and RICHARD BARBOUR and all the residue to his Son, RICHARD TODD Sam Sparacio ssantient@aol.com -----------------------
