In the name of God amen, I, Henry Derflinger, of Loudoun County and state of 
Virginia being sick in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to 
God and calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is 
appointed for all men once to die to make and ordain this my last will and 
testament and principally and first of all I recommend to the earth to be buried 
in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executors and as touching 
such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with this life I 
give and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. 

And I first give and bequeth to my eldest daughter Elizabeth the wife of Issac 
Evans one dollar and no more and that to be said to her at the opening and 
reading of this my will and it is my will and I do by the virtue of the same 
direct and order all my lands in Loudoun and Fauquier Counties with all my other 
moveable properties to be sold at public sale to the highest bidder and the 
whole amount of my real and personal estate shall be equally divided between all 
my other children now living Namely Frederick, Thos, Daniel, Catherine, Mary and 
Eve and it is my will that the above mentioned sales be made within two months 
after my decease and it my will that the legatees shall have their legacies as 
soon as maybe convenient and it is my desire that all my wearing apparel be 
equally divided between my three sons and I do order that the graveyard be 
fenced in and kept separate for the purpose of burying the dead, and I do 
nominate appoint and ordain my two sons Thos and Daniel to be whole and sole 
exors. of this my last will and testament. And I do hereby utterly disallow 
revoke disannull all former will legacies bequeth or executors by me in any wise 
made or name allowing and ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my 
last will and testiment.

In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and fixed my seal this twenty 
fourth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four 
in the presence of Peter Jacob, George Miller, Bayn Smallwood, Henry Derflinger

At a court held for Loudoun County Dec 10th 1804, this last will and testament 
of Henry Derflinger (dec'd) was proved by the oaths of George Miller and Bayn 
Smallwood witnesses there to and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of 
Thos Derflinger the exr. there in named who made oath thereto and together with 
Daniel Derflinger, _____*______ and Frederick Derflinger his securities entered 
into and acknowledged their bond in the penalty of thirty thousand dollars 
conditioned as the law directs certificate is granted them for obtaining a 
probate in due form
