VA On their old Homeplace, in pasture off Three Chopt Road Near intersection of VA S tate roads 607 and 250 Trevilianes, Louisa County, Virginia Submitter Note: This family cemetery is in the pasture of the Old Diggs Homeplace. The original iron fence had been pushed down by the cows, who trampled the tombstones while shading themselves in the large boxwoods planted there. My family viewed the cemetery in 1981 and in 1983.) BYBEE, b. 30 April 1830, d. 18 April 1909 DIGGS, John S., b. 15 April 1857, d. 4 Aug 1891 DIGGS, Edgar L., 16 May 1855, d. 10 Feb 1880 In 1981, Ruby Wright Hasher, granddaughter of Samuel and Mary Frances, reported that Emma Jane Diggs and Violet Wright were also buried there. Emma Jane Diggs was born 29 Aug 1859, d. 22 Sept 1873 Dates are not known for Violet Wright. (NOTE: An older cemetery marked only by rocks was located approximately one quarter mile up the 250 road from the Samuel Diggs property. It was reported to be the John Diggs and/or Thomas Diggs’ Cemetery . At least thirteen graves were located there. They were marked by large rocks. Some had letters etched into the rocks. Six had markings: MJM, SAD, MJM, EGD, TFP (or JFP or LFP, maybe TFD), and JD. The others were unmarked rocks.)
