Pate Cemetery Location: 3.4 miles north of Louisa, Virginia on the Ellisville road, Route #16; thence immediately on the east side of the highway. Louisa County Formerly known as the Goodwin Place, containing the old cemetery. On the opposite knoll east of the present dwelling, lies the old graveyard, enclosed by a rock wall, a part of which has fallen. There are a number of graves but only two markers, the inscriptions of which are as follows: In memory of Mrs. Polly P. Goodwin Who departed this life May 21st 1853 In the 74th year of her age In Memory of Garland J. White M.D. Born 1828 Died 1848
