Pate Cemetery Location: From Trevilians, Virginia, go .2 mile west on Route #4; thence 3.6 miles south on Route #613. The house is .1 mile east of the highway. Louisa County There is a tradition that a number of Quakers first settled in this neighborhood, but later moved to Ohio, which accounts for the name given the house. There was a Quaker meeting house on the brow of the hill just west of Poindexter, Virginia. In the family burying ground north of the house here are two badly defaced markers: William Ragland Born Sept. 15th 1780 Died Aug. 19th 1849 Sacred to the memory of Mary F.
