Louisa County This property is said to be part of a grant of 6,000 acres from George Third, to Charles Barrett Near the house is the Barret graveyard in which are found these following inscriptions: In Memory of Mary Barret wife of John Barret and daughter of Dr. Peter Straghan A native of Scotland departed this life in the County of Louisa, Va. on the 19” of September 1825 Aged 77 years.
