Pate Cemetery Location: 1.6 miles east of Mineral, Virginia, on Route #618; thence north 4.9 miles on Route #604; thence .6 mile west on Route #652; thence .2 mile north of road. Louisa County This home was first owned by the Nuckolls which is evident from the marker in the old family cemetery. Later, it was the home of Captain John Hamilton who fought in the War Between the States. Since that time it has changed hands several times and is now the property of Charles Bullock. The original home burned a number of years ago, and a small modern dwelling built in recent years has replaced the old one. Only one of the remaining outbuildings still stands and that is the old smoke house, made of logs, with sharp gabled roof. A large cemetery is on this property, but apparently only one marker which bears the following inscription: Myra R. Nuckolls Who died 13th of June 1833 Aged 21 years 9 months
