VA LOUISA CO., VA DEED BOOK S., pp. 270-271: 9 April 1830, THOMAS DIGGS, Louisa Co., in consideration of $728, bargained and sold 182 1/2 acres of land "lying and being in the county of aforesaid on the three notched road commonly, could (sic) WATSONS OLD FIELD containing one hundred and eighty two and a half acres and bounded as follows viz Beginning at a branch on BOUGHTRIGHT and REYNOLDS thence S78 E73 poles to pinters (sic) on BOUGHTRIGHTS thence N17 E40 poles to corner on COCKE thence N37 1/2 E62 poles to pinters (sic) on THOS. DIGGS thence N24 W168 poles to pinters (sic) on THOMAS DIGGS, thence N62 1/2 W36 poles to pinters (sic) on BURWELL BLACK thence S86 W13 poles to pinters (sic) on the sd.
