Diggs/Diggs Deed, 1832 - Louisa Co. VA LOUISA CO., VA DEED BOOK T, p. 579: 13 November 1832: Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Diggs of the county of Louisa for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which I bear towards the orphans of my son Thomas Diggs dec'd. I have given granted and conveyed unto them and their heirs forever one certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in said county on both sides the three chop=Road containing by late survey three hundred acres be the same more or less (to have possession at my death) with the reservation of the tract called "Thackers" on the east end of said land and on the north side of the three chop Road which sd. Thacker's tract I have given unto Pegy Jones widow of William Jones dec'd. during her life and at her death to go to the orphans aforesaid -- The whole of said three hundred acres is bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at a corner pine on the land laid off to Richard Holland running thence north One hundred and sixty four poles to pointers = thence South sixty eight degrees East One hundred and fifty six poles to a large white oak -- South forty six degrees East three hundred and forty five poles to pointers. North seventy one degrees West seventy one poles to James Stogdel's corner. Thence South twenty five degrees West thirty eight poles to the three choped road thence up the road as it meanders one hundred and twenty nine poles to Richard Holland's new line, thence north sixty two degrees west twenty four poles to pointers. thence north sixty six degrees west one hundred and ninety two poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the before grant land and premises upon the terms above mentioned to them the said Orphans and their heirs forever: In witness whereof I the sd.
