Thomas Woolfolk Sr. to Thomas Woolfolk Jr. 1805

This Indenture made this 11 day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred 
& five between Thomas Woolfolk senr of the county of Orange of the one part and Thomas Woolfolk 
jr. of the said County of Orange of the other part. Witnesseth that Thomas Woolfolk senr for 
and in consideration of the sum of eight dollars paid the receipt thereof is hereby 
acknowledged doth sell unto Thomas Woolfolk jr one certain tract of land lying and being in 
Louisa County on the south side of the North Anna river bounded as follows beginning at two 
white oaks and black gum on the river thence south one degree west thirty nine poles to a pine 
on a hill side thence north eighty seven degrees east thirty poles to a pine in Zany Robersons 
line thence north 12 degrees east thirty eight poles to a chestnut oak on the cliff of the 
river thence up the river with its meanders thirty eight poles to the beginning containing 
three acres and the said Thomas Woolfolk Senr for him and his heirs the said lands appertances 
to the said Thomas Woolfolk Jr and his heirs forever. In testimony the said Thomas Woolfolk 
senr hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day & year first above written.

At a court held for Louisa county on the 11th day of February 1805 this deed was this day in 
open court proved to be the act and deed of Thomas Woolfolk by the oaths of Benjamin Graves, 
Zenith Roberson & William Arnett the witnesses therto and by the court ordered to be recorded.
