Bufords Detachment Louisa County Served in Col. Buford's under Capt. Thomas Catlett's Company. Wounded in the left arm near the elbow; he also had a rupture> Certified by W. Foushes (writing small, hard to read.) I do with the advice of Council hereby certify that Abraham (Abram) Davis of Louisa, aged about 35 years, late a private in Buford's Detachment, appears to have been disabled in such a manner while in the service of the United States as to entitle him to the sum of twelve pounds yearly; which allowance is accordingly made him, to commence from the first day of January 1786.
