Imprimis I lend to my beloved wife Jane Dabney one third part of my estate my will is that she may dispose of the silver spoons as she may think proper the rest of her part to be equally divided among my children at her death. I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Dabney a negro girl between ten and twenty years of age which negro girl is to be taken out of her propo(r)tion of my estate. I also give my said Daughter Elizabeth a feather bed and furniture. I give and bequeath to my daughter Mildred Dabney a negro girl between the age of ten and twenty years of age which negro girl to be taken out of her propo(r)tion of my estate I also give my said daughter Mildred a feather bed and furniture. My will is that my son William Dabney is to be charged with two hundred and sixty two pounds for negroes and money furnished him which sum is to be deducted out of his propo(r)tion of my estate my will is that son Samuel Dabney is to be charged with two hundred and fifty pounds which sum is to be deducted out of his propo(r)tion of my estate. my will is that Elizabeth Dabney widow of my son Thomas M Dabney decd and his two sons Samuel and Lewis Dabney shall have an equally propo(r)tion of my estate at my death that is to say I lend to her Elizabeth Dabney one third part of the same during her life the other two thirds to be equally divided between his two sons Samuel and Lewis Dabney my will is that my son Francis Dabney is to be charged with one hundred and sixty pounds for negroes and money furnished him which sum is to be deducted out of the propo(r)tion of my estate: My will is that my son George Dabney is to be charged with sixty five pounds for a negro furnished him which is to be taken out of his propo(r)tion of my estate My will is that my son Thomas M Dabney’s widow Elizabeth and his two sons Samuel & Lewis is to be charged with one hundred eighty pounds for money furnished my son Thomas M Dabney which sum is to be taken out of their Propo(r)tion of my estate My will is that my son Charles Dabney is to be charged with one hundred and forty pounds for negroes furnished him which sum is to be deducted out of his propo(r)tion of my estate: My will is that my son Richard Dabney is to be charged with thirty five pounds for money furnished him which sum is to be deducted out of his propo(r)tion of my estate: My will is that each of my children have a horse saddle and bridle at a midle price unlefs they or any them have heretofore received one when they become of age: My will is that at my death my land be divided in three lots: that is to say. running the lines nearly north and south courses from Duncan’s line to Hallam’s and Isbell’s and shall be sold as my executor may think proper either the whole or in lots for cash or for credit I lend to my beloved wife all my household kitchen furniture during her life except the two feather beds willd to my daughters My will is that each and every part of my estate not willd away shall be sold at public auction: and the money coming therefrom to be equally divided among my children taking into view the aforesaid charges and bequeaths. Lastly I hereby nominate ordain and appoint my sons Samuel, Francis, George and Charles and Robert Dabney whole and sole executors this my last will and testament. This will was this day exhibited in open court by Charles Dabney Jr one of the executors therein named and was proved by the oaths of Richardson John Foster and William Fortune three of the witnefses thereto and by the court ordered to be recorded : and thereunto annexed was exhibited a codicil by the same executor and was proved by the oaths of William Fortune and John Foster and is ordered to be recorded: and the said executor having taken the oath prescribed by law and entered into and acknowledged his bond with approved security conditioned as the law directs a certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form Teste
