LUNENBURG COUNTY, VA - CEMETERIES – Bragg Cemetery ----¤¤¤---- Source: Library of Virginia Digital Collection LVA Titled Files: Survey Report, The Bragg cemetery: 1937 Mar. 22 Research made by Mary Boykin Cemetery Location: South of Kenbridge, Virginia, on Route #637, .1 mile, thence .2 mile west on a private road leading to cemetery. Lunenburg County, Virginia DATE: 1833. OWNERS: B. A. Love, present owner. (1937) DESCRIPTION: This cemetery is located in a large open field with a wire fence around it. The graves are not cut off, or separated from this field which is used by the owner. There are several stones with inscriptions on them and several markers which have none. It is not well kept. There is one double stone which stands at the head of mother and daughter. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The following inscriptions: Anna Taylor Daughter of R.W. and Emily Bragg Born March 6, 1841 Died July 21, 1852 Minervia C.S. wife of R.W. Bragg Born Aug. 23, 1806 Died June 16, 1833 Lucy W. Daughter of R.W. and Minervia C.S. Bragg Born Feb. 19, 1829 Died March 3, 1833 Henrietta Bragg Wife of John O. Bragg Died Feb. 23, 1856 Age 19 yrs, 5 months Her body has returned to the dust, her soul is with her God, And her Memory is with her brief married life.
