VA p.290 30 April 1753 (from LDS MF#032389) William SAFFOLD debt to William TRAYLOR (original spelling retained in transcription) April 30th 1753 TRAYLOR SAFFOLD Know all men by these presents that I Wm. SAFFOLD of the County of Lunenburg am held and firmly bound unto William TRALER of the same county in the full and first som of eighteen pound nineteen shillens and fore pence half peney corrant money of Virginia to be payd one or before the last day of June next insuin with same full intrest from this day. Know all men by these presents that I William SAFFOLD of the county of Lunenburg do grant, bargain and sell unto William TRALER in securrety of the above some of money won sorril mare known by the name of Friday and a rone hors called Latt and elleven head of cattle and 2 fetherbeds with furnitureand I warrantthe sale of the said mare and hors and cattle and beds from all person or persons soever say clame or right or title thereto as witness my hand this 30 day of April 1753 and if the said some of money is not payd by the last day of June after the above said date then the said William TRALER shall have free preveleagd to sell as much of the above said mouceles as shell com to the said some of money above mentioned Wm. SAFFOLD Henery (his H mark) TALEY William WEATHERFORD At a court held for Lunenburg County the third day of July 1753 the within written bond was proved by the oaths of all the subscribing witnesses to be the act and deed of the within named William SAFFOLD.
