VA February 1765 ( from LDS MF#032389) (original spelling retained in transcription) John WEATHERFORD to Joel TRAYLOR February 1765 This commission and certificate was returned and ordered to be recorded Teste. Wm. TAYLOR C.L.C. This indenture made the twenty six day of December in the years of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty between John WEATHERFORD of the county of Lunenburgh of the one part and Joel TRAYLOR of the said county of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John WEATHERFORD for and in consideration of the sum of sixteen pound current money of Virginey to him in hand paid by the said TRAYLER the receipt whereof hedoth hearby acknowledge hath given, granted, bargained and sold and by these presents doth give, bargain and sell unto said Joel TRALER, his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres be the same more or less lying and being in the county of Lunenburg on Mehearen /river and bounded as follows : Beginning at William TRALER’s corner white oakon DARDEN’s line and long ADKESON line to a corner white oak in ADKESON line long the said line to the Rig path and along the Ridg path to the old line thence along the said line to William TRAER’s line and along the said line to the beginning with all woods, underwoods, swamps, marshes and quaries together with all houses, orchards, gardens, fences, water and watercourses, rights, conditions, advantages and all other opportunities whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining thereto. To have and to hold the aforesaid land together with the receipted premises and any part and parcel there with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said Joel TRALER his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Joel TRALER and of his heirs and assigns forever and the aforesaid John WEATHERFORD for himself and of his heirs, executors and administrators doth cevenant and agree to and with the said Joel TRALOR his heirs and assigns that he the said John WEATHERFORD his heirs the above mentioned sold land and premises with these and any of these appurtenant and agree to and with said Joel TRALER, his heirs and assigns forever and do hereby warrant the same said premises against him the said John WEATHERFORD his heirs and against all other persons whatever shall and do warrant and forever by these presents defend in witness thereof the said John WEATHERFORD hath hereunto set his hand and seal this day and year first above written.
