Know ye that for divers good Causes & Considerations but more especially for and in Consideration of the Sum of Forty five Shillings of good and Lawful Money for our Use paid to our Receiver General of our Revenues in this our Colony & Dominion of Virginia We have Given Granted & Confirmed & by these Presents for us our Heirs and Successors Do Give Grant and Confirm unto Thomas Pruit one certain Tract or Parcel of Land containing Four hundred & thirty seven Acres lying and being in the County of Lunenburgh on the South Side of Catawbo Creek & bounded as followeth to wit, Beginning at a great Poplar on the Creek Thence South thirty three Degrees West ninety eight Poles to a small red Oak, Thence North Seventy five Degrees West ninety eight Poles to a small red Oak, Thence South thirty eight Degrees West one hundred & ten Poles to a white Oak.
