In the Name of God Amen, I John White of the County of Lunenburg being in sound 
mind and memory calling to 
mind the uncertainty of this Life knowing it appointed for all men to die, do 
recommend my soul to God who 
gave it me, and trusting what worldly Goods wherewith it has pleased the 
almighty to bestow on me I give and 
dispose of in the manner following

First my will and desire is that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid 
and then to do as follows

I lend to my beloved wife Penelope White all my stock of horses, Cattle, Hogs 
and Sheep, my Beds and furniture, 
and all my goods and Chattels of whatsoever kind not mentioned during her 
natural life or widowhood.  after the 
death or marriage of my beloved wife Penelope White I give and bequeath to my 
two sons Daniel Green White and David 
White all my estate above _________ to be equally divided between my above 
mentioned two sons to them and their 
heirs forever.

I do hereby appoint my son Carter White and my wife Penelope White to be my sole 
executor and executrix of this my 
last will and testament.  In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this 
15th day of March one Thousand Seven 
hundred and Ninety One.

In the name of God Amen, I John White of the County of Lunenburg of Lawful age, 
being 
sick and in a low state of health, but in perfect mind and memory do make and 
ordain 
this my last will and Testament in 
manner and form following: that is to say, I recommend my soul to god, who first 
gave 
it, and my body to the earth to be buried at the discression of my Executors 
hereafter 
named, and my worldly affairs as follows, 

Item I lend unto my beloved wife Franny my land and plantation where I now live 
, also 
all my personal Estate, during of her widowhood or life and of her death or 
marriage 
the said land to be sold and the money 
put to Interest and paid to my four youngest sons, Elisha, Elijah, James, and 
Henderson 
estates and as soon as they marry or come of age it is my desire that my 
Executors shall 
sell my lands that I have adjoining of W. [or Mr.?] Eubanks and others, that is 
estimated 
to about Thirty acres and the money put to Interest and divided amongst my above 
mentioned 
sons agreeable with the division of the other land, also all my personal estate 
sold at 
the death of my wife, and an equal division of the said personal Estate amongst 
all my 
children as they come of age or marry, excepting of those who stands charge 
below with 
prices[?] on 
property that I have heretofore given the, which said [prices?] must be deducted 
out of 
their equal Parts, with my youngest children at the division of my personal 
estate, my 
daughter Mary Henderson has received 
of me to the amount of Twenty three pounds five shillings, son Carter Eighteen 
pounds 
fifteen shillings my daughter Elizabeth, eight pounds, my daughter Rebecca four 
pounds 
for a side saddle, son John fifteen 
pounds

Item I give and bequeath unto my son John the land where my father now lives, 
after the 
death of my father it is my desire that each of my daughters that is now living 
with me 
shall have a good Bed and furniture as they come to the age of eighteen years or 
marry, 
excepting my daughter Elizabeth who has been furnished with the same, the said 
Beds is 
not to be deducted out of their equal parts with the rest at the division of my 
personal 
estate also to have horse and saddle at the time they receive their Beds, which 
horse and 
saddle is to be valued at the time they receive them and to be deducted out of 
their parts 
at the division.

I choose my wife my son Carter and Williams Smith to be my executors.  Given 
under my 
hand in the year of our Lord Christ, one Thousand seven hundred and ninety six.
