Lynch, 1819 Lynchburg Deed Book E, page 378 This Indenture made this twenty second day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and nineteen between John Mays of the town of Lynchburg and County of Campbell of the one part and William B Lynch of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Mays for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred and fifty Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said William B. Lynch his heirs and assigns forever a certain piece of ground lying and being within the Corporation of Lynchburg and bounded as follows Viz beginning on fifth alley one hundred feet from its juncture with eleventh street at Robert (Moris, Mariss?) Moris's corner and running with Morriss's line south 38 east eighty two and a half feet then at right angles north 52 degrees east thirty two feet thence at right angles north 38 degrees west thirty-two and a half feet to fifth alley and then with fifth alley north fifty two degrees west thirty-two feet to the beginning being the lot bought by said Mays of William B. Lynch and the one bought by William B. Lynch of James W. (Dibell, Dihell, Dilrell? ) Dibrell To Have and to hold the aforesaid piece of ground and premises with its appurtenances unto the said William B Lynch his heirs and assigns forever and the said John Mays doth for himself his heirs executors and administrators do warrant and defend the right and title to the before mentioned piece of property free from the claim of himself and free from the claim or claims of all and every other person whomsoever. In witness whereof I do hereby set my hand and afixe my seal the day and year first above written.
