Knoxville Daily Chronicle - December 16, 1885
In Bad Health, She Suicides
Lynchburg, Va., December 15 - Mrs. A.D. BARNES, a daughter of C.W. PRICE, 
commissioner of revenue of this city, committed suicide this morning by shooting 
herself twice with a revolver.  Bad health was the cause of the act.
