Janet Elizabeth Gordon Watts, 88, died Sunday at 5:45 p.m. in Camelot Hall 
Nursing Home after a long illness.

Born in Bedford County September 20, 1894, she was the daughter of the late 
Charles Hatcher Gordon and Elizabeth Lockie Field Gordon.  Her husband was the 
late Harry Southall Watts. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist 
Church where she was a member of the Mother's Class and United Methodist 
WOmen.  She was a retired employee of Morton Manufacting Company.

She was preceded in death by a son, Earle Wells Watts.  She is survived by a 
son, Gordon Harry Watts, Lynchburg; nine grandchildren; and six great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Virginia Funeral 
Chapel by the Rev. William R. Livermon and the Rev. James Bock.  Interment 
will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday 
and at other times at the home of her son, Gordon H. Watts, 3310 Wilson Avenue.

The copy of the obituary that I have does not have name of source, but I 
assume it is a newspaper published in Lynchburg.
