Tunison Cemetery Location: West of Novum Postoffice, Virginia, on Route #600; thence northwest 400 yards to site on the hill. Madison County, Virginia DATE: Unknown. OWNERS: C. T. Clore, present owner. (1937) DESCRIPTION: This graveyard is located against the hill, northwest of the old house site. There is no fence around the graveyard and very little evidence that there ever was one. This graveyard is a small one, about six graves in all that is detectable today. These graves have field stones for markers at the head and foot, with no inscriptions. They are badly sunken and in a very neglected condition. It is not positively known that Martin Aylor’s ancestors were buried here, this being the traditional story. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: None.
