Second east entrance after passing church on left side of road. Madison County, Virginia DATE: 1854. OWNERS: Robert Twyman, Syria, Virginia, present owner. (1936) DESCRIPTION: This old graveyard is located about one hundred yards northeast of the old home. It has a rock fence about four and one-half feet tall and at least two feet wide. It is about twenty feet by twelve and is in an old orchard. There is no opening to it and the bodies had to be lifted over the wall. There are some old time rose bushes growing in the graveyard but no evergreens. This graveyard has only four graves, one without any inscription and three which are listed below. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Inscriptions: In memory of William Durrett the first born of R.C. and Wenthea C.
