Thrift property: 1937 Mar. 2 Research made by Mrs. Evelyn W. Tunison Cemetery Location: Turn west from Route #29 to Route #657 at south end of Madison, Virginia. One mile west, just after crossing the creek. Madison County, Virginia DATE: Unknown. OWNERS: George N. Thrift, present owner. (1937) DESCRIPTION: The graveyard is located southeast of the house on a hill. A half an acre was reserved by the Price family, where Henry Price was buried along with several members of his family. The graveyard has a stone wall. There are no inscriptions, only stones for markers. Henry Prive’s grave is designated from the rest by a six foot rock wall which is filled on the center with rock almost the same height. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: None.
