Dennis Corbin and Polly his wife to Edward Morris Madison Co., Virginia, Deed Book 9, p. 273-74 [LDS Microfilm # 0032583] Recorded 7 July 1826 This Indenture made this 7th day of July in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty six, between Dennis Corbin and Polly his wife, of the County of Madison & State of Virginia, of the one part, and Edward Morris of the af'd County and State of the other part. Witnesseth, that the af'd Dennis Corbin and Polly his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars, Virginia Currency, to them in hand paid by the said Edward Morris, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have this day bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain sell and and [sic] conveyed unto the said Edward Morris, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, forever, all their interest in the undivided estate of Samuel Morris dec'd of what kind soever it may be, both real & personal, as also their interest in that part of the said estate which may be allotted to Phebe Morris wife of the said Samuel Morris dec'd, which the said Dennis Corbin and Polly his wife received the right and title from William Jenkins and Nancy his wife would be entitled to on the death of Phebe Morris whereof is hereby declared to be the interest of the said Dennis Corbin and Polly his wife, assigned to them by William Jenkins and Nancy his wife before mentioned, that from the date of this Indenture, the said Edward Morris to be vested with all the rights, title and interest, whether in law or equity, which the said Dennis Corbin and Polly his wife heretofore possessed, and they do by these presents for themselves, their heirs, executors, do relinquish all rights, title, claim or interest, and all pretentions thereto unto the said Edward Morris, his heirs and assigns forever, and warrant and defend the same to Edward Morris, his heirs, &c. forever. This Indenture of bargain and sale, between Dennis Corbin of the one part, and Edward Morris of the other part, was produced into said office and proved by the oaths of John Weakley, Thomas Cubbage, and Miller Cubbage witnesses thereto, and whereupon the same was admitted to record.
