David Yowell Will - 1792 - Madison Co. Will of David Yowell, from Madison Co., VA, Circuit Court Records, v. 1, p.22: In the name of God, Amen I David Yowell of the county of Culpeper and State of Virginia, being weak in body but of a perfect sound mind & memory do hereby constitute and appoint this my last will and testament. That is say my soul I recommend to Almighty God who gave it me and my body to be buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my Executors here after named And as to my Worldly Estate where with it hath pleased Almighty God to bless me with I will and bestow in the maner and form following That is to say I will first that all my Just Debts be paid the residue of my Estate thence remaining I do lend my loving wife Elizabeth both real and personal to be by her property during her natural life or widowhood and after her death or marriage to be in Equal distribution between my six sons namely Elijah, Jacob, Lewis, Rowland, Marshal & Allen Yowell, & if so be my wife should be pregnant at this time I will the child to become Joint Heir with my other six sons & to be to them & their Heirs forever, I do hereby Constitute my good friends Henry Lewis, William Chapman & Elisha Berry Executors of this my last Will and Testament revoking all former wills and testaments heretofore by me made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seale this third day of October, one thousand seven Hundred Ninety two.
