MECKLENBURG COUNTY, VA - BIBLES - Daniel Nethery Family Bible

This information is from the Family Bible of DANIEL NETHERY (1789 - 
1866) and his wife, SARAH SMITH NETHERY (1792 - 1876), 
Mecklenburg County, Virginia.

It is possible that this small Bible first belonged to Daniel Nethery's
parents, THOMAS NETHERY, SR. (1719 - 1798) and ANN "Nancy" 
BAKER NETHERY (1765 - 1833).

On the title page is given the following pubisher information:  DUBLIN,
Printed by George Grierson, Printer to the King's Most Excellent 
Majesty. 1789.

Then the full name, birth day, month, and year of each of the ten 
children of Daniel and Sarah Nethery is given in beautiful handwriting, 
as follows:

-Buckner Smith Nethery born 18th April 1817

-Edward Thomas Nethery born 7th March 1819

-Robert Taylor Nethery born 1st February 1821

-Richard Daniel Nethery born 4th April 1823

-James Henry Nethery born 8th August 1825

-Mary Ann Nethery born 12th November 1826

-Martha Jane [Nethery] was born the 10th of January 1829

-Henry H. [Hodge] Nethery was born 1st April 1832

-George D. [Daniel] Nethery was born 28th of February 1834

-Sarah E. [Elizabeth] Nethery was born 28th Feb 1838
