The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net ************************************************************************ Mecklenburg County, Va Deed Book 14, page 147 Inquisiton indented and taken on Friday thr twenty third day of December in the year 1808 in the county of Mecklenburg on Mileses Creek formerly Called the Beaver pond Creek where there appears to ba disputed between Thomas C Singleton and Judith Booth by Wilson Walker, Henry Walker, Richard Vaughan, Ambrose Vaughan, Thomas Cleaton, Jonathan Bennett, John Chalmers, Wiatt Harper, William Drumwright Sen, James Drumwright, James Hudgins & William Pool, twelve good and lawful Freeholders of the County of Mecklenburg, who having been impanneled & sworn and Charged as the Law directs, proceeded to Examine into the several Matters given theirs in Charge and after some time returned their verdict in the following words (to wit) we the Jury aforesaid are of the opinion that Miles's Creek Runs in the same Channel it always did and it shall be the line from Booth's Corner poplar and Hudsons Corner Sorrel Tree (which stands Close together on the said Creek) Between Thomas C Singleton and Judith Boothe down the said Creek as it meanders S. 10 E 14 poles S. 7 W. 8 poles, N.W.W.9 1/2 poles south 6 poles and S 62 W 3 1/2 poles to Singleton's Corner sweet gum.
