 I do with the advice of this council certify that Sarah Booker, who appears to 
be the widow of Richard, late a private in the third Virginia Regiment and died 
in the service of the United States, is put on the Pension list with an 
allowance of eight pounds yearly to commence from the first day of January 1789.
Given under my hand as Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia at Richmond this 
13th day of January 1787.

I certify that Sarah Booker resident of Mecklenburg County is in indigant 
circumstances and does not appear to be of bodily ability to support herself by 
labor.  Given under my hand this 7th day of May 1793.  Richard Kennon

Certified by Henry Lee, governor of the commonwealth that Sarah was continued on 
the list of pensioners as date above. Copy: Samuel Coleman
