                       Will of David T.Ridout

I, David T.Ridout of the County of Mecklenburg do hereby make my last
Will and Testament in manner and form following, That is to say 1st I
give and bequeath to my wife Rebecca J.Ridout all the land North of a
new line starting at a rock on the line between me and William R.George
at a Rock known by the parties, running due East _____ F.J.Burtons line
I also give her choicest Horse Buggy and Harness one Best Cow and one
half of the stock Hogs and all Household and Kitchen furniture Furr
Mill Cuting Blades Farming Implements and Provisions to carry on a one
horse farm for twelve months. I also give her Fifty dollars in money.
I give the above property to my wife during her life or widderhood. 
2nd I give and bequeath unto my three children Robert Ridout, Aner
Ridout & George W.Ridout the remainder of my Estate to be equally
divided between them. This my last Will and Testament made this day
14th of December 1875. Given under my hand and seal.

The last Will and Testament of David T.Ridout late of this County
deceased was this day presented to the Court and fully proved by the
oaths of John C.Sims and J.R.Cole the subscribing witnesses thereto and
was thereupon ordered to be recorded.
