These electronic pages CANNOT be reproduced in any format for profit or other presentation.- In the name of God, Amen, I , James Linn of Michenburg county, Carolina being very sick and weak in body , but of perfect mind and memory and sound judgement, knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make this my last will and testament desiring that it may be in and by all, as such.  First I give my soul to my maker and my body to earth from which it was taken, in full assurance of its  resurection at the last day  (?) of the Almighty Power of Godl,my maker.  I desire that my just debts and funeral expenses be first paid.   My estate which it has pleased God to bless me with,  I will and order the following (viz) Item,  I give and bequeath to my beloved son, James Linn one hundred and fifty  acres of land joining the land of  ? Thurston's orphans on the west side of six mile creek to him,  his heirs  and assignees forever. Item I give and bequeath to my beloved son John Linn one hundred and fifty acres of land joining James Paxton's land of six mile creek - the creek being the line between him and his brother James,  to him, his heirs and assignees forever.  Item, I give and bequeath to my beloed son Adali Linn one hundred & one hundred fifty acres of land joining and between his brother James and the wagon road,  to him,  his heirs and assignees for ever.  Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved son William Miller Linn one hundred and twenty acres of land  including my dwelling house and  improvements to him his hers and assignees forever.  Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife one mare, of a natural & brown colour.  I leave two white horses and a small black mare for the use of working this plantation for the maintinence of the family.  Item,  I give and bequeath to my beloved son James Linn one bay mare colt, which was first of all called his property,  Item,  It is my desire that my beloved wife  have the dwelling house and furniure where I now live during her widowhood for the support of the family amd  likewise  what plantation tools shall be thought sufficient by executors to carry on the plantation business.  Item, it is my  will my wheelwright tools and smith tools  be divided among my family as my executors in this direction shall think best. Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved children- Eleanor Linn, James Linn, John Linn, Sarah Linn, Adlai Linn, William Linn, Prudence Linn. each one a cow or a heifer as my executors think best and the rest of my estate to be disposed of for the use of my family.  Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter, Elizabeth Linn a bed and other articles which is now called her property.  Item, I give to my beloved daughter Catherine Gillispie, five shillings .  Item I give & bequeath to my beloved daughters, Margaret Wallace, Mary Paxton & Jane Prichet, each five shillings.
