These electronic pages cannot be reproduced in any format for profit or other presentation. ================================================================== In the name of God Amen, I Elizabeth Maynard being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and memory do make ordain and constitute this my last Will and Testament that is to say I render my soul to God who gave it my Body to the Grave to be buried at the discretion of my Executors as to my worldly Goods I give & bequeath in the following manner: Imprimus I give to my daughter Ann Maynard six head of cattle a filly named Nancy Dawson one bedstead bed and furniture. Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Prudence Maynard six head of cattle a horse by the name of Liberty one bedstead bed and furniture. Item I give to my son John Maynard six head of cattle a mare named old poll one bedstead bed and furniture. The residue of my Estate after paying my just debts I leave to o be divided amongst my children towit, Wagstaff Maynard, Mary Winn, Judith Gill, Frances Bedford, Anne Maynard, Prudence Maynard and John Maynard. And lastly for the true performance of this my last Will and Testament I constitute Littleberry Winn and my son Wagstaff Maynard Executors to this my last will and Testament. sealed and signed as my last Testament this Eighth of December 1795. Sims At a Court held for Mecklenburg County the 18th day of January 1796 This Will was proved by the oaths of Archibald Sneed and G. Sims. Witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded, and on the motion of Littleberry Winn and Wagstaff Maynard the executors therein named who made oath thereto and together with Thomas Feild their security entered into and acknowledged their bond in the penalty of three thousand pounds conditioned as the Law directs certificate was granted them for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
