The W&M Quarterly tells of John VAUS, being buried at Hewick in the Apple Orchard, ca 1680's, and he being a kinsman of Christopher Robinson. Christopher Robinson who died ca 13 Feb 1692/93 was on the Vestry at Christ Church, but does not show up in the records as having been buried there, his brother John Robinson, was the Bishop of London at the time, and as such was the Head of the Church in VA. I was sent by the VA Hist Society, a news article from the 1920's or 1930's, telling of how when a road, "Lord Mott Road", was being cut thru our plantation, very near the present cemetery, the road workmen dug up brass handles, like ones that may have been on coffins, and a gold signet ring with the "BEVERLEY" family crest. It was then given to the Beverley Family of Blandfield in Essex Co., of course Christopher Robinson md 2nd Katherine Hone, the widow of Major Robert Beverley. ==================================================================== USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
