I do with the advice of Council hereby certify that Jane Burn, widow of Joseph Burn, who was a _____in the Navy and died in the service of this Commonwealth is allowed the sum of ten pounds yearly which allowance is to commence the first day of January one thousand seven hundred and eighty six. Given under my hand as Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia this first day of January 1786. copy: T. James Wood gave allowance to Jane for 8 pounds yearly. Total $106.66 for four years-1784 , 1785, 1786, 1787. 18 November 1800--James Monroe, Governor, certified her as continued on the list of pensioners. 22 September 1797--last recorded payment.
